Solid Fuel, Reimagined

What is Bio-Coal?

Bio-coal, also known as torrefied biomass, is a renewable fuel made from plant materials like wood chips or straw. Through torrefaction (200–300°C in oxygen-free conditions) it becomes a dry, energy-rich product with excellent combustion and storage properties.

It acts as a cleaner, drop-in replacement for fossil coal in power plants and industrial applications — with significantly lower carbon emissions.

A future beyond coal
The Shift

Is there a future beyond coal?

Coal is the largest human-made contributor to CO₂ emissions. As industries seek greener operations, bio-coal emerges as a vital alternative — especially in sectors like metallurgy and power.

It reduces air pollution, water contamination and land degradation, making it a sustainable step away from fossil fuels.
